The weather finally improved to enable efficient, safe working and we’re starting to tick off our list of Hebcrub Orders. We’re now back on island, before three more builds on the mainland in May (Aberdeen, Dingwall and Loch Carron). We did two Crubs for chicken housing during the prolonged bird flu issue we have. The two were in Kinlochewe for https://www.cromasaig9.co.uk A really impressive croft diversification and lovely young family. We were there over Easter and young Matilda laid out an easter egg hunt for us in one of the builds. 🙂 While away, we also helped with a supply only kit build in Poolewe, along with preparing the foundations using an excavator in Loch Carron. The much improved weather is certainly helping our work mood and tempo! 🙂

People are starting to choose us because we use 50 year life ground posts, also ensuring no part of the posts are exposed, structural screws for fixing and heavier duty fittings than the competition. When you build a Crub, it should be to the highest standard and built to last and that’s our guarantee. It takes as long as it takes. We fix the recycled plastic ground foundation posts in concrete and wait a few days before returning to build on the strongest footings around. Depending on the size, we can usually complete the above ground part in a few days.

What a view from an Opyl Chicken coop build.

Nearly finished Chicken coop build.

You can see our solid gable framing through the white polycarbonate sheeting.

You’ll see at the top of the images a site prepared in Loch Carron last week. We will return soon to construct, once the foundation concrete is fully cured.
